Character Name; Johnny Rayflo
Canon; Vassalord
Age; Hundreds of years old, at least, though official police records list his age as ‘42’.

House; House of Loki
Power; Telepathy

Personality; Johnny is, first and foremost, a flirt. The gender of the person is irrelevant; light flirting is just his default way of communicating with people unless he dislikes them, and sometimes even then. Very rarely is what he says to be taken seriously, either. Though he can be anything from suave and smooth to childish and silly, his personal conversations are often shallow at best, cryptic at worst. Even with Charley, the person he is closest to, most of their conversations are made up of banter and general teasing. It is very rare for Johnny to be serious, and even rarer for him to share any part of himself with others. In the end, his greatest skill is his ability to appear completely open and friendly while sharing no part of himself with the other person.

Being a vampire who has lived for hundreds of years, Johnny has spent most of his life existing at the expense of others. Originally a knight, it’s implied that his whole reason for becoming a vampire was to become powerful enough to protect Princess Marie, whom he had pledged his life to. It’s not surprising, then, that he carries with him a very deep sense of guilt for his actions, at least later in his life; his interactions with Addy, an incubus and the one responsible for him being a vampire, imply that this may not have always been the case. Along with the guilt there seems to be a sense of responsibility for those whose life he has affected; after finding that his princess had been reawakened as a vampire, Johnny takes it upon himself to kill her. Not because he hates her, but because his loyalty and love for her are still strong after so many years, and he hates the thought of her living such an existence. It’s the same sort of love and loyalty he holds for Charley, and just as with Princess Marie, those feelings are weighed down by the guilt he feels for being the one to have turned each of them into a vampire.

None of these things are obvious, however, even to those close to him. Johnny, after all, does his best to come off as someone shallow. His tastes in everything from clothes to houses tend to veer towards the more expensive and luxurious, and he often makes a point of sexualizing his conversations, especially with Charley, whom he refers to as ‘Cherry’. But most of his attitude is an act; never is this more obvious than when, after sulkily demanding a kiss from Charley, Johnny blushes brightly when he is kissed on the cheek. And despite the fact that he sees himself as a monster or villain, Johnny’s actions are, if anything, those of a hero. He doesn’t hesitate to sacrifice or put himself in danger if it means protecting others, even when those people are strangers to him; this is someone who risked being blown up and killed because it meant he could guarantee the safety of all the other passengers on the plane. Of course, such heroic antics are made far easier by the fact that he seems to have little to no survival or preservation instinct in these situations; when he jumps out of the plane, he does so while grinning widely and laughing as he reaches out for Charley.
